His family was on the verge of being classified as poor. Over his childhood he found that he enjoyed things that took his mind of problems, one of these ‘things’ is fighting. When he started to mature, and grow, he began to go to a fighting gym on 22nd Street known as JKD gym. JKD stood for Jim “Killswitch” Dugan, which was the owner, who was once a famous wrestler, and would soon be Mitch’s mentor. 4 times a week, Mitch would work out and learn such fighting styles like BJJ, or Muay Thai. When Mitch turned 20, he felt it was time to look for a wrestling federation which could test his skills. | |
